kalinka. kalinka. kalinka.

This song provides the means to which I learn all my Russian words. I put it to the tune of "Kalinka."
For example:
When I was learning the word for "shopping cart"
I would sing "karzinka, karzinka, karzinka yedee"
which in rough translation means
"shopping cart, shopping cart, shopping cart of food."
but it really works to the rhythm and tune of Kalinka.
Plus it is one of the most famous Russian Traditional Songs.

aside from that...
today i gave a presentation in Russian.
about what people think about Putin.
[remember that? remember how i was doing that project?]
well it went well. in fact i went a little overtime.
which means that i did some pretty awesome talking there.

also. would you like to know what this is?

NOT TEA.

This is s drink. Which has the consistency of syrup. Which is classified as a soup. Which is the taste of drinking the flavoring of a snocone.

And that, my friends, is what I eat for breakfast.

On that note,
I'm leaving.

Even though I have so many strange stories to tell you!

Okay one more.

In Russia cats say mooor. [roll your r]. it is like how we say cats purr. in russia they moorr.
In Russia instead of saying "here kitty kitty" you say kis kis kis. almost like a hissing. but with a 'k' in the front of it.

Today while I was waiting for the tram which takes me to school, this man looked me in the eyeballs and said, "kis, kis, kis."

I wanted to reply: mooorrrrrr. But i didn't. I just blinked.
And said, "uh, okay." [but in russian of course.]
and i will never know why he was calling me like i was a kitten.

Okay!
poka,

K. Billy.
