the weekend.

Here's what happened this weekend:

Friday: Chad and I went with his old roommate, Marshall, and his wife, Jessica, to a dessert placed named : The Chocolate. Its a lovely dessert cafe placed in a home. I bought a lemon bar. I really love lemon bars. There was a couple months in my life where I would say, "when life gives you lemons, make lemon bars." Because, lets be honest...lemonade is only good when it is combined with another fruit. But...lemon bars? Nah. They are just plain scrumptious.

we then went and played some games. rummikub. okay, the game would have rocked. but I am not one who can see patterns in numbers. Numbers are like Letters' worst enemy. And Letter is my best friend. We play together at least once a day. Numbers, though? We haven't really been friends since infancy.

Saturday: I went to Trellis Cafe with my Aunt Judi, Grandma, and Mom for Mother's Day. It is a cute cafe at Thanksgiving Point that overlooks the gardens. The food was deeeelish. And, it was nice to drive my Grandma home and chat with her.

Sunday: Chad and I made dinner for my family. Everything kind of went...wrong. But the food still turned out yummy. For example: I was making dressing in a blender. For some reason, I didn't realize that there was not a bottom to the blender. And I picked up the container, and plop! All the mayonaise and other goodies in the dressing went onto the counter. My little brother, Matthew, absolutely loved chopping veggies with Chad, though. Once I assigned him to help Chad with chopping he got really bright eyed. And said, "MOM! Guess what I'm going to use with Chad? A knife!" Then the whole time he was just giggling with Chadders. Matthew is Chad's biggest fan. He always gets so excited when we come over. And ALWAYS has a chocolate milk party with Chad.

Loves,
Kylie Anne.
