Hey, there, my readers. And family. Who count as readers.
First off: EVERYONE! Thank you for your prayers. I can feel them. Seriously.
You may think I’m crazy. But it is not so. There have been many occasions when I
have been able to know that people care about me. And also, I have encountered
many a miracles since being here. Which amounts to almost 7 full days! (side note: 7 days is a delicious crossiant brand here).
Now, lets get down to the nitty gritty: who is this
[Incarnoceon] Margherita.
Margherita is my new host mom/not mom. Things didn’t really…work
out with Baba Masha. {just so everyone knows…the food is not the reason things
didn’t work out.} So.. Here I Am. Living with Miss Margherita. Whom I will from
now on call Maggie.
Maggie is great. I already love her and I have only spent about 4 hours with her. She is 23, a student, and very patient with my Russian. And she is excited for my birthday?? Haha.

Well, to be honest. I don’t know much about Miss Maggie
because she is on VACA. This week is a huge celebration. Because on the 9th
is their day of triumph. Because, as a lot of you don’t know, Russia had an
amazingly HUGE part in winning World War II. To be precise, most of the German’s
losses were on the Eastern Front [where you fight the Soviets…] And without
them, defeating Germany would have taken a lot longer. It also is a huge day of
remembrance. They were by far the underdogs. They were under the rule of
Stalin, who did little to prepare for a war he knew was inevitable. They won
this war out of survival. To save their home. 20 MILLION died. Anyways. I will
post pictures of the celebratory parades I attend on Wednesday (tomorrow)!
But, staying with me is her friend Dasha. Dasha is so great.
She is 22. She has helped me so much already. Plus she is a bee keeper. And
distills her own vodka. Pretty cool gal, eh? Vot: (Here:) is a picture of her!
[and her personal honey that she extracted from her hive.]
And, Sunday night…we
made dinner. And guess what? The chicken I prepared still had its ribs intact.
And guess what? I, Kylie Anne Bills, was
awesome. And took those ribs off the chicken. That’s right. I deboned a Russian
chicken.
Also: I get to eat chocolate for breakfast. Haha. No, I
tried to turn it down. But Dasha was insistent. She said it would help me
concentrate on a “day before holiday day.” Dasha is cool. Hopefully I can stay
in contact with her, even after she leaves.
Also, I live on the best, most happenin’ place in Nizhny now.
I live on the walking street. Which is this awesome place that is kind of like
a Gateway of sorts. Anyways. I love it. Look above. that is the view from my window. [note, this is a good view].
And there is always something going on. Like...people singing into microphones a Hare Krishna song. See?
But Ill post more pictures. Promise.
Da Svidanya,
Kylie Anne
Miss you Kylie! Thanks for posting.
